Hello everybody, im looking for information on a 1999 230 2.8td ducato, searched everywhere for a workshop manual, i repair and service motorhomes/campers ,and im am old timer. The UFI filter on my 2006 2.8JTD is all black, so could be difficult to see through the letter box like slit of an A class MH. The van just won't start, the injection warning light comes on, flicks off momentarily after about 7 seconds and then stays on constantly. First make sure the ignition is turned off. Remove the air filter housing top. Remove the air filter element itself from the housing - this can be a tight squeeze. Remove the 3 retaining nuts at the bottom of the housing & the 2 x worm clamps from the housing to the snorkel & the engine breather & remove the air filter housing from the engine
I have Fiat Ducato 2006 2.8 JTD Maxi, it's the facelift model following the vans up to and including 2005 but befor ehte current-ish 2007 onwards models. Bought Fiat fuel filter, went to change it and they have given me the earlier one in the metal silver canister, the spin on one. Being Sunday can't do much about it.

My Ducato 2.8 JTD tyres are 215/75R16C and the axle loadings are around 1680 kg front and 1740 kg rear. The recommendations would have me running the vehicle at 3.2 bar (46 psi) front and 3.3 bar (49 psi) rear. In my experience these are pressures I would use in soft sand. Veg oils works out £1.00 per litre from Tesco's compared with around £1.37 or so for diesel, quite a saving on a full tank. cheers. At a 50/50 mix what's that, £10 a tank assuming its about an 80L tank. Question is how much will the potential issues caused going to cost to resolve.
